Mermaid Names
Mermaid-inspired baby names extend far beyond Ariel, the beloved Disney Princess name that has been a favorite for many years. Another well-known name, Madison, also owes its popularity to a mermaid. This name gained traction for girls following the film Splash , where Daryl Hannah's mermaid character adopts the name Madison from a street sign on Madison Avenue.
